Ironmen Fall to Outlaws in Tough Home Contest

The Aldergrove Ironmen returned home to the Aldergrove Community Centre on Wednesday night but were overwhelmed by the visiting Mission City Outlaws, falling 10–1 in Pacific Junior Hockey League action.

Finding Their Stride

Mission City came out strong with an early offensive push, building momentum in the first period. The Ironmen regrouped as the game went on, generating more shots and creating quality opportunities in the second and third frames. Special teams gave the home crowd something to cheer about when Taylor Mackie buried a power-play goal off a setup from Lincoln MacDonald, marking a bright spot in the contest.

Competing Until the End

While Mission City carried the scoring edge, the Ironmen showed a strong competitive level throughout the night. Goaltenders Matthew Crotenko and Colton Konrad combined to make several key saves against the Outlaws’ relentless attack, and the team tightened up defensively in the third, holding the visitors off the scoreboard in the final 20 minutes.
